@John-Try your search using just the 'NOT' instead of 'AND NOT' command. If you would like to do a search but exclude a particular term, type that term with a NOT immediately before it (for example: IBM NOT Omaha). Your search results will exclude any profile containing that term. Please contact Customer Service if this doesn't resolve your issue. Additional info on 'Advanced Search Tips' can be found in our Learning Center link at the bottom of the home page.

AND NOT isn't working. Has this surfaced as a problem within LinkedIn and is it being worked. Thanks, John Childs, jchilds@rim.com

When I write a Boolean equation and I pull up profiles with key words highlighted, does LinkedIn also search the key words you see when clicking and expanding the profile. Key words are not highlighted here. By experimenting it looks like this "expanded" view's words are also scanned in the search. If this is true, please verify and also it would be nice to see key words from the Boolean equation highlighted here as well. Thanks, John jchilds@rim.com
P.S. What's the max number of characters?

Are you planning to support the wildcard asterisk (*) at some point in the future? Sure would be a handy addition. JC

I am trying to find people with specific areas of interest within their industry. How would I go about doing this because with a standard personal profile, I cannot see an expanded view. Is there a way I would be able to return a search with, say 75 to stay below the maximum, who are all very similar but may have different job titles and be at different companies?
