@James – You can add and share news by clicking on the “Submit a new article” button in the lower left hand corner of the news module on home.

@Dorota – If you are no longer seeing news on your home page you should try going back in to your profile and editing your position. Remove the company name and add try to re-add it, selecting the respective company name that appears in the company selector drop down menu.

I could see the News at the begining when the feature was launched. However now it’s missing for a long time. Is there any chance I can get it back?

I would like to create a group for my company and friends, and then subscribe to news outlets that are specific to our interests. Is this possible with LinkedIn news?

The news feature is great, but is there a way we could add/share news about our industry that is not already posted on linkedin?

PLEASE make this news feature optional, because I would like to opt out of it! The news you have been filling my screen up with is NOT NEWS to me: It is days or weeks or even months old, in some cases. I see a lot of news in a day, and most of it I don’t want to see more than once. Please pay attention to this request for once!

My news is called “Remco news”. Remco is not my company, its my first name. So the news shown is not my company news.
One of my listed ‘employers’ is my own company, operating under my own name ‘Remco Kalf’. So probably there is another company called Remco which is wrongly connected to my profile’s news.
Besides that, the news shown is totally irrelevant to my company or industry.

I can’t figure out where it’s pulling the industry from. My news is coming from the “Ohio Air National Guard” which is not my primary industry, and only vaguely related to the fact that I am part-time in the Air Guard in Washington State.

It was pulling from staffing and technology before, which was great, but it suddenly shifted… what happened?

The LinkedIn News is completely off base for my company. I think there must be more than 1 “Madison Technologies” in LinkedIn, because on occasion I get a “recently joined LinkedIn” from the company “Madison Technologies” and since I own the company, and know everyone who works there…I know these people aren’t from my company. So, I believe the issue with the News is the same. The problem with News is that I can’t change anything…or get rid of it. If I could somehow customize news and somehow link the news articles with the industry in my profile…THAT would be useful. Otherwise, at this point, it is merely an annoyance.
