Thanks to everyone for your comments and feedback. Looks like many of them are in line with Jen & team's plans as well.

However, we're closing this thread to redirect comments to the appropriate blog post. Please continue to contribute feedback to upcoming posts on the same topic.

@ Derek - It's like you are reading my mind. Keep a look out for expanding functionality around sharing news with your connetions and group(s) on LinkedIn. New features are coming very soon!

Can you provide a bookmarklet that I can click to add news automatically? Sort of like the "Share on Facebook" button and "Save to Delicious" button I already have.

Having your blog on your profile is definitely a good thing to do to boost your own professional brand.

Currently there is no way for you to know if we're crawling your blog. It does take a while before we have it indexed and there is no grantee for if and to whom will we display it. We are doing our best to provide the most relevant professional content to the right members according their professional profile and there are few metrics for that.

Please note that you can share content (like your blog entry) with your company or first-degree contacts by clicking on the "Submit a new article" link on the homepage.

Anyway, yhanks for the feedback!
I'll make sure our product managers ok into it.

A couple of weeks ago I made all the changes to include my blog as Linkedin News Content (you even got me to have my profile public something I have been avoiding for a while!) :)

I have no way to know if the feed is being picked up, as I don't write about my actual industry (HR/Internet) but about about creativity and innovation. So far I haven't seen the feed being picked up, but again, I don't think I have a way to see it in linkedin.

Yesterday for example I posted a summary from an European Report about Creativity in Higher Education that I truly believe it may be interesting for anyone in the education industry and I would like to make sure the feed is being picked up to be able to spread it among people in the education industry...

How can I know if my feed is being picked up?

Thanks in advance, Sandra

@Rowan, @Lincoln,

As Jen mentioned, the feature is still in beta and we're resolving many of the issues raised by users.

Stay tuned for upcoming feature updates, which will resolve the problems you're facing.

This is still really lame. Can you remove it? Or at least give us the option of removing it until it becomes a decent feature?

Come on! LinkedIn is great! This feature is total crap.
