You serve a high number of requests and use quite a few servers to do so. I&#039;m wondering whether you&#039;ve considered nginx -&gt; haproxy -&gt; mongrel to load balancing any mongrels that die. Also thin as a replacement to mongrel.

I&#039;m quite interested in your use of masochism also and how you find that with reads from slave servers that may not be upto date with master writes.
