I found this article helpful, but being in the non-profit world, I wonder if the same philosophy holds true. Are people more likely to donate to a non-profit if they can see the people who work there?

I just joined this site, much to the chagrin of my coworkers, who complained that it is not as user-friendly as it seems. I have attempted to post information about a job or at least try to view people on this site with matching skills, and have been unsuccessful. If it is an oversight on my part, please forgive me, but is there some sort of tutorial link that I can access?

@Andrey,

Thanks for your comment.

@Brian,

We've aggregated user requests for new company profiles. But I'd urge patience since soon you'll have the ability to add company profiles yourself.

We'll be announcing that on the LinkedIn Blog. Thanks for the feedback.

The companies are a great idea but it seams like it is extremely difficult at this point to get listed as a company on linkedin. I have sent in requests several times and to no avail my agency is still not listed yet other agencies are beginning to get listed. Whats up with that?

I like and share this statement: That’s pretty crazy when you think about it: people don’t just buy from a company. They buy from the people at a company.
It is so truthб but many people do not understand this simple point.
