    Yesterday was World Health Day, a day dedicated to raising global awareness of health issues, and promoting healthy behaviors. To celebrate, I’d like to recognize the millions of medical professionals across the globe who are tasked with the job of keeping us healthy. I know firsthand how most healthcare professionals don’t often work a typical “9-to-5” day. Viruses don’t take weekends off, which is why the job of being a doctor or nurse demands a level of dedication and training that is unique in the professional domain.

    My experience as a neurosurgeon taught me a lot about dealing with intricate challenges. First, with enough time and hard work, there’s no limit to what you can learn. Also, no matter how complex a problem is, if you really focus you have a good chance of solving it. Most importantly, if you want to be exceptional at what you do, you have to love what you’re doing.
