Billions of devices around the world rely on Android software; in fact, according to a new Gartner report, Android captured 86 percent of the total smartphone operating system market in 2017. So, where does the most talent exist today? Well, according to LinkedIn data, India is home to 13 of the top 20 cities with the most Android developers. Bangalore (India) retains the #1 spot for highest developer job demand, New Delhi (India) is a close second, followed by San Francisco Bay Area (U.S.), Toronto (Canada) and London (UK).

It’s not just Google, Airbnb, and Uber that need Android developers - almost every single industry is becoming dependent on people who know how to write code. LinkedIn data shows the Staffing industry is increasingly hiring Android developers, ranking third behind Technology and Professional Services companies.
