Win a Dream Experience with LinkedIn and Disney’s “The Lion King”

As kids, we’re often asked what we want to be. And then we grow up, and more often than not, life takes us on a different course and we forget what inspired us. LinkedIn and The Walt Disney Studios want to remind you what inspires you. With millions jobs on LinkedIn, there are millions of chances of finding the right job for you, the one you can’t wait to be. Sometimes, all you need is an experience to point you in the right direction.

That’s why, in celebration of this summer’s release of Disney’s “The Lion King,” LinkedIn and The Walt Disney Studios are announcing the Dream Disney Experience, where one professional can win the chance to be the LinkedIn red carpet reporter at the world premiere of the film.

Through June 12, eligible LinkedIn members can enter the #IJustCantWaitToBeContest for a chance to learn from the industry’s best and get a glimpse into the magical world of Disney, one of LinkedIn’s Top Companies, the most desirable companies by job seekers in 2019. (No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited. Must be 18 or older, a current resident in the 50 United States or Washington, D.C. Ends 6/12. Refer to the Official Rules for more information.)

What is the Dream Disney Experience?

Over the course of a two-day learning experience, one winner will have the opportunity to receive an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the vast array of teams it takes to make Disney’s “The Lion King” come to life. The winner will travel to The Walt Disney Studios in Los Angeles, where they’ll learn firsthand about what it’s like to be part of the magic of Disney. Then, they’ll serve as the LinkedIn red carpet reporter at the world premiere of Disney’s “The Lion King,” with a chance to interview talent about their career journey.

How can you enter for a chance to win?

From June 4-12, 2019, eligible LinkedIn members can apply to the Dream Disney Experience by creating and posting a video on LinkedIn with the hashtag #IJustCantWaitToBeContest, explaining why they should win this experience and how it could benefit their career. The all-inclusive experience will take place in Los Angeles from July 8-10, 2019.

A few guidelines: ensure the post is visible to everyone on LinkedIn, and the video content is entirely original and doesn't include copyrighted footage or music. The video should only feature you and no other individuals, and should be under two minutes long. The additional instructions on how to upload a video on LinkedIn are here and the Official Rules are here.

A panel of judges will evaluate entries using the following equally weighted criteria:

  • How the member showcases the ability to inspire others with their story.

  • How the member paints a picture of how this experience will impact their professional journey.

  • How the member approaches the qualifying question in a creative fashion.

The winner will be notified on June 14 with an InMail from LinkedIn. Learn more about working at Disney here and follow along the Disney Dream Experience on LinkedIn with the hashtag #IJustCantWaitToBeContest.

No matter what you’re in it for -- hands-on event production, rubbing elbows with the stars as an on-camera host or learning about one of the largest films in Disney history -- this once-in-a-lifetime experience offers priceless learning opportunities. And when you’re ready to take what you learned to your next role, you can turn to LinkedIn to find it: we have millions of jobs and the right one for you.
